BRIDGES TO KIDNEY HEALTH

Empowering Communities Through Education & Support

Empowering Communities Through Education & Support

Bridges to Kidney Health, a community initiative from Travere Therapeutics, provides education, resources, and connections for individuals and families impacted by rare kidney disease. Our mission is to increase awareness, foster community, and empower people across the country to take charge of their kidney health.

Why Kidney Health Matters

More than 37 million Americans live with kidney disease, yet 9 out of 10 don’t know they have it. Rare kidney diseases like focal segmental glomerulosclerosis (FSGS) and IgA nephropathy (IgAN) often progress faster than more common forms of kidney disease, affecting younger people and disproportionately impacting communities of color.

That’s why Bridges to Kidney Health brings kidney health education, resources, and support directly to the communities most at risk.

These opportunities are designed to help families better understand rare kidney diseases, access support, raise awareness, and build community connections.

Kidney Connections Social: Building Bridges in Atlanta

In October 2025 we held a Bridges to Kidney Health event in Atlanta, bringing together people living with rare kidney disease (RKD), CKD, and local and national nonprofit advocacy partners. The event featured a performance by Grammy Award-winning producer/songwriter Brian Kennedy and Platinum-selling artist, writer, and motivational speaker David Rush. Chef Sachet Walker gave kidney-friendly cooking demonstrations, and everyone came together for an empowering and inspiring afternoon.
